About Kristen
Kristen Campos is our Adult-Gerontological Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. She began her career as a registered nurse back in 2007, working in two busy hospitals in lower Manhattan. She gained experience caring for AIDS patients, as well as many urgent medical issues such as pneumonia, cancer complications, heart disease, diabetes, infections, and many others. She then obtained her Masters’ degree in Nursing through Hunter College in Manhattan, from where she graduated in 2014. She began working as a Nurse Practitioner in Jersey City in a Primary Care setting, where she became well-versed in caring for both acute and chronic medical conditions in a diverse patient population. She developed further expertise in hormone replacement therapy, weight loss management, and wellness care, and has integrated this training into her current practice. She is highly passionate about healthy food, exercise, and coming up with unique methods to help each patient find a way to integrate these things into their lifestyle. Mrs. Campos works alongside a board certified endocrinologist to help develop complex treatment plans for individuals with hormone imbalances and chronic medical issues, including low testosterone, obesity, PCOS, chronic fatigue, thyroid conditions, menopausal disorders, autoimmune conditions, vitamin deficiencies, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and many others. She integrates both Western Medicine/conventional treatments alongside more natural methods of achieving optimal health. Kristen also offers B12 lipotrophic injections to assist in management of chronic fatigue, weight conditions, and vitamin deficiency. In addition, she is trained to perform Coolsculpting to help patients who desire the popular fat loss procedure.
In her free time (ha), she enjoys spending time with her husband, their three young children, and their 2 dogs. She was a college gymnast, and now enjoys doing yoga and many other types of exercise. She often can be found scrolling through Pinterest searching for fun new (mostly healthy) recipes to try out on her family, catching up on the Bachelorette, or eating blueberries.
